How far is Dad's from West End?

About ten minutes. Head southwest on Cascade Avenue — it becomes Cascade Road — and we're at 2270, just past Beecher. From the West End MARTA station it's a short, straight drive with no highway needed.

I'm at the AUC — can I get a quick brake check between classes?

Absolutely. The inspection is free and usually takes about 20–30 minutes if we're not backed up. We'll pull a wheel, measure your pads and rotors, and tell you honestly whether you need anything yet.

Can I drop my car off and take MARTA back?

That's one of the most common things West End customers do. Leave it with us in the morning, catch the train from West End station, and we'll call with a quote before we touch anything.

Why do my brakes seem to wear out so fast?

Stop-and-go driving on RDA, Lee Street, and the I-20 ramps uses your front brakes far more than highway miles do, so 30,000–40,000 miles on a set of front pads is common around West End. Catching them at the squeal stage keeps it a $180 job.

My older car squeals on the first stop each morning — is that serious?

Often not. Overnight moisture and dust on the rotors usually burn off after the first few stops. If the squeal sticks around past a couple of stops, it's more likely the wear indicator — a free thing for us to check.
