This Privacy Policy explains how Dad's Auto Repair Shop, LLC ("Dad's," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website at dadsautorepair.shop, book a service, walk into our shop, or otherwise interact with us.
We've tried to write this in plain English. The short version: we collect the information we need to do auto repair work for you, we don't sell it, and we keep it as long as we reasonably need to. The longer version is below.
We collect information from you in the following ways:
When you book a service through our online booking system, fill out our contact form, walk into our shop, or call us, you may provide us with:
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these specific situations:
Our online booking system is powered by Shopmonkey, a third-party shop management platform. When you book through our site, your information is processed by Shopmonkey on our behalf and is also subject to Shopmonkey's own privacy policy. We use Shopmonkey to manage appointments, repair orders, and customer communication. Shopmonkey is contractually required to keep your information secure and use it only for our purposes.
If you give us your mobile number — through our booking system, our contact form, or in person — we may text you about:
Missed-call auto-reply: If you call our business phone number (404-758-4672) and we don't answer, we may send you a single automated SMS reply from our messaging number (470-944-7972) to let you know we saw your call and to offer assistance. This message is strictly transactional — it is a direct response to your inbound call, not a marketing message. Message frequency: maximum 2 messages per missed-call event. Msg & data rates may apply.
You can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Replying HELP returns our contact information. We never sell your mobile number, and we never give it to other companies for their own marketing — no third party will ever text or call you because of us. The one narrow exception to number sharing: when we advertise our own shop, we may include your number in hashed form in the customer ad lists described in section 3, solely so the ad platform can show you our ads. You can opt out of that at any time. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookies Policy for the full list of what we use and why. The short version: we use cookies for basic site functionality, to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it, and to measure whether our own Google ads lead to calls or bookings. We don't use cookies to build a profile of your browsing on other websites.
We keep your information for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes listed above. Specifically:
You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Your rights" below.
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we'll let active customers know by text or email. Continuing to use our services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
